A regional seminar “Prevention of drug addiction and addictive behavior” was held within the walls of the Brest State Technical University.
The invited guests were: police captain, senior commissioner of the Department for Drug Control and Combating Human Trafficking of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Mikhalyuk Pavel Viktorovich; Head of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Brest Diocese of the BOC, Archpriest Evgeniy Likhota; psychotherapist of the Brest Regional Narcological Dispensary, Pretskailo Vladislav Igorevich.
Paradoxical as it may seem, the problem of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues has been and remains one of the most important global world problems. Drugs not only destroy the lives of those who use them, but also negatively affect those around them. Another result of the use of psychoactive substances is an increase in crime.
Students of BrSTU and students of the branch of BrSTU "Polytechnic College", under the guidance of teachers, prepared materials and made reports on the stated topic.
Students and employees of the branch of BrSTU "Pinsk Industrial Pedagogical College" and Baranovichi State University also joined the online seminar.
