On November 12, 2024, the Unified Information Day was held at Brest State Technical University. The theme of the Single Information Day was "Elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus: the future depends on us".
The event brought together students, teachers and guests of honor, including representatives of government and public organizations. The key topic of discussion was the upcoming elections of the Head of State and the role of each citizen in determining the future of the country.
In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic on Legislation and State Building, member of the Supreme Political Council of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus", Chairman of the Brest Regional Council of Deputies Igor Maksimovich Brilevich focused on the achievements and development prospects of the Brest region. He noted that the region, known as the "western gates of Belarus", has a rich history, powerful economic potential, developed infrastructure and extensive international ties.
"Brest Region is an important strategic center that plays a key role in the country's economy. Our region successfully develops agriculture and industry, providing a significant contribution to the overall economic growth of Belarus," Igor Maksimovich emphasized.
The head of the Brest Regional Secretariat of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" Oleg Anatolyevich Konovalov also addressed the students, telling them about the party's activities and its importance for the development of the region. He paid special attention to the issues of supporting young people and creating conditions for realizing the potential of young people.
Deputy Chairman of the Youth Parliament under the Brest Regional Council of Deputies, deputy of the Brest District Council of Deputies Maksim Nikolaevich Sytsevich shared his experience of working in local government and called on students to participate more actively in public life.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, during which students could ask questions to the invited guests and discuss current political and social issues. It showed that young people are interested in the future of their country and are ready to take an active part in its formation. During the meeting, a ceremony of signing a cooperation agreement between the Brest Regional Council of Deputies and the educational institution "Brest State Technical University" was also held. The document provides for joint work in the field of education, science, economics, culture and youth policy. The agreement is aimed at strengthening ties between educational institutions and government bodies.
