On December 20, 2024, an open conversation "My life. My path. My President" was held in the assembly hall of the Brest State Technical University. Students and employees of the university, as part of the Republican social and cultural action "Unity Marathon", met with Mikhail Ivanovich Rusy, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Legislation and State Building.
During the event, Mikhail Ivanovich openly shared his life experience and stages of professional development. He served as Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus from 1994 to 2001, then was Minister of Agriculture and Food twice - from 2001 to 2003 and from 2010 to 2012. He also served as Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus from 2012 to 2019. These stages of his career have become an important part of his life and have made a significant contribution to the development of the agricultural sector and the legislative system of the state.
The result was a full-fledged lecture from Mikhail Ivanovich Rusy, where participants were able to ask their questions, discuss important topics and receive valuable advice. The moderator of the meeting was the Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vadim Frantsevich Gigin.
The meeting ended with a simple instruction to the student audience: “Don’t sleep “at the plow”! Study, try, listen to your teachers. And think ahead, because time has chosen you! The future of our country is in your hands!”
