On February 28, 2025, the grand final of the Republican competition "Student of the Year - 2024" was held on the stage of the Minsk City Palace of Culture under the slogan "Time of Opportunities". Brest State Technical University was represented by a student of the Faculty of Economics Yulia Kovalevskaya.

The competition is aimed at developing leadership qualities, supporting the creative potential of student youth, creating conditions for their self-realization in the field of social activities, science, art and sports, promoting student initiatives and projects, increasing the prestige of knowledge and popularizing professions.

In the final of the competition, 14 best students from all regions of the republic and Minsk competed for the place of the leader in creative and intellectual tests. Competitive tests with the participation of finalists were held for two days - February 27-28.

The theme of the project is "Time of Opportunities". The young people tried to reflect this in their performances: to show all the opportunities, chances and conditions for development that every Belarusian student has today. In the first business card competition, young men and women creatively told about their life and studies at the university. The second test was creative: here, if they wanted, the guys could sing, dance and recite poetry.
