The Brest Region has become a platform for the implementation of a unique educational project "Sports Manager with a Quality Mark", which was initiated by the deputy of the House of Representatives Olga Stepus and received the support of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and the Brest State Technical University. This project is a strategic contribution to the development of the human resources potential of the sports industry of the #1 region.
On March 27-28, the second module of the program is being held at the Palace of Water Sports in Brest. It is dedicated to the topics of leadership and effective team management, as well as the use of intelligent techniques in management. Rector of BrSTU Sergey Antonovich Kasperovich personally took part in the work of the module. His active participation emphasizes the high importance of the project for the university and the entire region.
Sergey Antonovich is confident: "The project is important for the formation of a new generation of managers in the field of physical education and sports and the development of human resources in the sports industry. Its implementation is an example of an effective partnership between government, education and the public for the sake of regional development."
The training program includes modern methods and technologies aimed at improving the qualifications of sports managers. The course is divided into several modules, each of which is dedicated to a specific topic. In total, there are 12 modules covering a wide range of issues related to the work of a modern sports manager.
"A manager is a profession, one of the most difficult, in my opinion, requiring constant development," noted the author of the project Olga Stepus. "We strive to organize corporate training for managers of the regional sports industry and create conditions for the development of metacompetences, metaabilities and professional competencies in order to fully realize the potential of sports facilities in the region."
The "Sports Manager with a Quality Mark" project is closely linked to the goals of the five-year development plan for the region ("five-year quality plan"), aimed at improving various aspects of society. The organizers are convinced that the project will become a powerful stimulus for the development of management competencies and will allow managers not only to systematize their experience, but also to improve the quality of management of the region’s physical culture and sports sector.
