Architectural workshop united students from Brest and St. Petersburg!

On April 13, within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Brest State Technical University and the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the first joint project was launched, uniting students and postgraduates - future architects of the two universities.

The project was organized on the initiative of the Department of Architecture and Territorial Development of the Brest Regional Executive Committee with the support of the Department of Architecture and Construction of the Brest City Executive Committee.

15 people came from the city on the Neva to the city on the Bug for joint work aimed at improving the appearance of our city of Brest, in particular, transforming the water-green diameter of the Mukhavets River.

Over the course of the week, students and postgraduates, under the guidance of teachers from BrSTU and SPbGASU, worked in mixed teams, together surveyed the territory and thought out a concept for the development and improvement of the Mukhavets River embankment in Brest. The project covers the area within the boundaries of: Beresteyskoye Highway, Masherov Avenue, Moskovskaya Street, 28 July Street and Varshavskoye Highway.

The first stage of the work ended with the presentation of the draft proposals to the Chief Architect of the Region Nikolay Nikolaevich Vlasyuk and the Chief Architect of the City Maxim Mikhailovich Sutyagin. The students received valuable comments on their work, gifts from the city mayor and will continue their work - a more detailed elaboration of their concepts - remotely.

In addition, during the visit, students of the St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering presented seven concert hall projects developed by them specifically for the city of Brest to the high expert commission. The best project was awarded a memorable gift from the mayor.
