Architecture students from Brest State Technical University proudly represented our university at the international finals of the Saint-Gobain 2026 student architectural competition. The final round, which brought together the strongest young professionals, took place in Rybinsk—the city for which the teams developed their design solutions.

The competition's geography and scale are impressive: this year, representatives from two countries—Belarus and Russia—competed for victory, representing 21 cities and 25 leading universities. A total of 112 teams and 204 students participated in the qualifying rounds, and 18 faculty members supervised their work. However, only the top 14 teams received the right to present their projects to the expert jury in the finals.

The composition of the final jury deserves special attention. The jury included recognized, high-level professionals: practicing designers, leading architects, experienced engineers, as well as the chief architect of the city of Rybinsk and other city administration representatives. This panel of experts guaranteed an objective and professional evaluation of the submitted works, as the participants' solutions were evaluated by people who directly shape the appearance of modern cities.

Three teams from Belarus were among the finalists, two of which were teams from our university! This result is the best confirmation of the high level of training of the students of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering at BrSTU.

Following the finals, our students' work received high marks from the jury:

The team of Tatyana Shramuk and Alexandra Yakonyuk (third-year students, majoring in Architectural Design), under the guidance of Alexander Vladimirovich Vorobyov, senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture, took a distinguished second place.

The team of Maria Tsymbalova and Ekaterina Makarevich (fourth-year students, majoring in Architectural Design), under the guidance of Anastasia Nikolaevna Vinnik, senior lecturer in the Department of Architecture, received a special jury prize for the integrity of their solutions.

Congratulations to the winners and runners-up, as well as their supervisors, on this outstanding achievement! Once again, you demonstrated not only your talent and hard work, but also the high potential of the BrSTU School of Architecture. We wish you new professional victories, bold ideas, and exciting projects!
